My life is like an ocean
And I am a ship upon her waters.
Sailing around the world
A sea of endless opportunities.

My destiny awaits me
As I steer to different ports.
Finding the right path has been challenging,
But it also has its rewards.

My journey is unpredictable
No matter which direction I move.
There will be many rough waters,
But for the most part; sails are smooth.

Whenever I am out at sea
Or visiting the different ports;
There is always one thing I can depend on,
That gives me comfort and support.

One that stands tall and proud,
And that keeps an eye out for me.
She is brave and she is wise.
One that is trusted very much indeed.

She is bright and she is strong.
The toughest wave could not knock her down.
She is sharp and she is beautiful,
And she is highly respected; without a doubt.

She is you, Mother.
You are my lighthouse.
Your heart shines with love,
And your guidance has helped me throughout life.

Thank you for shinning so bright;
Keeping your light on and never letting me down.
Even though we've had some tough challenges,
Thank you for standing strong with love.
