regarding essay 2

This essay is so much easier from the last essay we had to do. My research subject is going to be on Needle Exchange Programs, I feel this is an interesting topic because a lot of people have their different perspectives on this issue. Some say that these programs give mix interpretations to drug users, encourages more drug use, goes against the gov'ts drug policies and do little or nothing in decreasing the spread of AIDS. However, evidence proves that these programs do decrease the spread of AIDS and other harmful diseases such as HEP C virus by exchanging their used needles for new sterile ones. They supply them with bleach to sanitize their equipments and hand out condoms along with giving them pamphlets regarding the harm of getting STDs. In addition, these programs allow drug users the opportunity to seek treatment which would change their life and most importantly preserve lives. Subsequently, I am a supporter of these programs because it does so much to help individuals who are in desperate need of it. One ought to ask him or herself this question: Is thinking that these programs give mix interpretations more important than saving a life?
